Autism Spectrum Disorder

This course is designed to provide participants with the skillsnecessary to plan and conduct assessments for students on theAutism Spectrum in the classroom or in the home. Emphasis isplaced on assessing a student’s level of involvement, determiningbaseline data, and monitoring progress. Interpretation andevaluation of data from on-going psychometric assessments,progress monitoring, and behavior modification methodsand strategies will be discussed. Participants will be providedopportunity to develop a functional behavioral assessment andimplement a behavior plan. Course content will be integratedinto the required 150 hour full-semester field based experiencepracticum.
