Urban Life: Culture & Change

An analysis of urban social systems with a focus on lifestyles and change in contemporary American society. The course will center on ethnicity and ethnic groups, using cross-cultural case studies, data on immigrants, and lifestyles and family framework. Emphasis will be placed on strategies groups employ to manage and effect political and economic change in an urban ethnic setting. (Same course as CJ 2160). This course meets the General Education Diversity requirement.
