Peer Mentoring and Coaching

This course builds on students' previous PAL coursework where PAL students have developed meaningful insights about their own learning and effective use of Curry College resources. The course offers a theoretical base, practical knowledge, and practical experience to serve as a foundation for students to become capable peer mentors. Through reading, writing, discussion and some hands-on experience, students will learn how to employ generative mentoring skills and materials. they will gain insight into emerging adults, learning disabilities, resilience and effective mentoring and coaching practices.
