American Sign Language

This course will offer educators, clinicians and professionals who interact with deaf individuals and groups an introduction to communicating with American Sign Language in a variety of settings. Participants will learn about deaf culture from historical and sociological perspectives, and learn how this subculture exists within educatonal settings as well as in relationships on many levels. This work is highly interactive, experiential, and requires commitment to the group process from all participants.
