Description

The course will explore the theories and practices of management that are used in the organization and management of profit and non-profit businesses and institutions. The course will focus on the four primary management "functions" of planning, leading, organizing, and controlling the resources and operations of the organization. The role of the manager and skills that are needed to succeed at different levels of the organization will be addressed. Emphasis will be placed on oral and written communication and effective group interaction.Prerequisite: BUS 1000.
